Word for the Journey

Be Aware.

I went on Google and typed in Halloween and satanist. This is what the AI came up with:

“There is no historical connection between Halloween and Satanism, and it is not a satanic holiday. The association is a misinterpretation based on Christian fears, exaggerated media reports, and the “Satanic Panic” of the 1980s. Halloween’s roots are in ancient Celtic and Roman harvest festivals and later evolved under Christian influences.”

However, when I scroll down to the church of Satan’s website, this is what is on it:

“Halloween is traditionally a time when the obscure portal into the realms of darkness, death and the supernatural is thrown open. Demons and spirits have free rein for one night, cavorting, enticing us into their revels and revealing glimpses into the future… They have a chance to dance with the Devil, either stumbling, tittering and nervous in the arms of the Black Prince, or boldly, ravenously sharing in the sensual excesses and fright of others on this magical, unholy night… Yes, the demons have indeed provided a crystalline vision of the future to me this most unhallowed night. I see the firelight flickering wildly in my son’s eyes as he dances happily in his pirate costume. I see the young monsters and witches and vampires loosed in our streets, never to be shackled again. I see reason and science and fantasy blasting away the dull lethargthy of defunct philosophies. I see Satanists all over the world meeting in small groups this night and Hallowe’ens 500 years hence, to raise a glass to the Infernal Hosts, the revolutionaries, myth-makers, infidels and reprobates, and to Anton LaVey—Long Live our High Priest!

Hail Satan!”

Be Awake.

That was written by a high priestess in the Church of Satan. AI will lead you to believe there’s no connection between Halloween and the demonic. A tactic of the enemy is to get us to believe Halloween is just another fun day. He wants us to believe it’s merely a day to pass out candy and dress up. He wants us to think the Christian community is exaggerating when we say that we should take no part in such an evil day and evil works. But obviously, the church of Satan sees it differently.

In Satanism, Halloween is what they consider a high holy day of satanic worship. It is referred to as a day of darkness. Witches, warlocks, satanist, etc, are preparing now to do the most satanic and demonic rituals of the year… this Friday. Human sacrifices, spells, curses, all kinds of sorcery and deviation are being done at a high level on this day.

This should not spike fear. This should cause you to feel something in your spirit that would move you to act. It should cause us all to question what we are doing in response to this.

I came out of an occult, Praise God!! I knew better than to celebrate by trick or treating or dressing my kids up in demonic costumes, participating in rituals, etc. I saw those demons and went away from them. However, I used to go to church functions like Hallelujah night or fall festivals. I’d let my kids dress up in what I considered safe costumes like Buzz Lighter from Toy Story or a princess. The demonic was not as easily seen in church functions. I did not know this was still participating in Halloween.

Why and how is it wrong for the church and believers to participate in anyway?

When we open up the temple of the Most High God to unholy practices, we then open it up to demonic forces and the temple becomes defiled. We’ll then assume Holy Spirit is still with us and God is still pleased when He is not. Changing the name from Halloween to Hallelujah night and moving the festivities from outside to inside does not make it holy. To say we’re doing it in the name of evangelism (to bring those in the world into the church) is to say the gospel is not enough, so we’re adding to it. We have then profaned His temple (both the church and ourselves) by bringing Babylonian (worldly) ideologies into the House of God. This shows that we are in deception. The gospel is enough. We don’t have to add to it. Masking satanic rituals by participating in or out of the church is still participating in unholy practices.

So when I found out God was not pleased and He was not in it, I repented and turned away from it. I do not want to grieve Holy Spirit and I do not want to encourage my children or anyone else to do so.

Ephesians 5:13-16 NKJV

13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible,14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”15Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Here’s some questions we all as believers need to ask ourselves and our fellow believers in the body of Christ:

How can we be praying about what’s happening outside of the church on this “day of darkness” when we’re distracted by what we’ve allowed in the church? How can you combat the enemy while joining what he does, even if it’s deemed clean and ok?

Church functions connected to Halloween distract the body of Christ. They connect us to the evil being done. This connection happens because participation in the spirit is still happening. Remember, this is spiritual. Don’t be deceived by how it looks in the natural. Saints, if we’re participating, who’s praying?

**I’m attaching a video below of an ex-satanist explaining why Christians should not participate in Halloween.

Arise Saints!!

If you don’t participate in such practices, Amen! That’s the first step. The next is to pray.

Stand and believe Ephesians 6:10-18. Put on the whole Armor of God because we wrestle not against flesh and blood. This is a spiritual battle and we must intercede.

By Faith we stand! In prayer we fight! Through praise we win!

Satan doesn’t want you to join his forces. He doesn’t need you to join the church of Satan. He just doesn’t want you to pray!!

Remember:

~ The Word of God is a weapon, sharper than any 2 edged-sword (Hebrews 4:12). Use the Word of God by praying it. Praise is a weapon (2 Chronicles 20:22, Joshua 6:20, Acts 16:25–26).

~ The victory is already won (Revelation 12:10-11). These are the enemy’s attempts to keep you off the victorious side, distracted, and in fear. Don’t be distracted.

My prayer:

I pray we change our focus this week. Let us humble ourselves and repent- repent for yourselves and our fellow believers. I pray we rise up and take our stance seriously in the spirit against the demonic forces that are taking their stance seriously in the spirit. I pray we keep our eyes on Jesus and proclaim His Name this week and the weeks following. I pray the light of Jesus shines brighter in us this week as we go about your days. I pray we use the Sword given to us by reading the Word, praying in Word, believing the Word, and living by the Word. I pray we do not walking in deception, but our ears and eyes are open to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying!

Encouragement through the Journey

Gatekeepers, Watchmen on the wall, Intercessors, Worshipers of the Most High God… be Aware! Awake! Arise!

Don’t just cover your children. Teach them to fight back in the spirit.

Don’t just cover your household. Walk your neighborhood and pray in the spirit.

Don’t just pray for your family. Pray for those in the body of Christ that participates in this day of darkness in any way.

Turn away and be the light in the darkness.

Promises for the Journey

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Romans 8:31 NKJV

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 AMP

14 Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial (Satan)? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said: “I will dwell among them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 17 “So come out from among unbelievers and be separate,” says the Lord, “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will graciously receive you and welcome you [with favor], 18  And I will be a Father to you, And you will be My sons and daughters,” Says the Lord Almighty.
