Reflections for the Journey

There came a point in Kayden’s journey when the Lord said something to me so clearly and I had to believe it. I had to sit back, take in what I heard, and believe it. Then I had to do it. Hearing and doing without seeing is faith. There’s something that we don’t as believers do everyday, all day confidently… And that is to literally believe everything He has said. To believe ALL that has been spoken as a promise and a blessing to us, would in turn, cause our faith to accelerate to a level that is unpredictable and unshakeable. Faith at that level doesn’t waver, it doesn’t doubt, and it can’t be moved. Faith in His written Word and His spoken Word is a must. If we are going to claim we are believers, we should believe.

THE PROMISE:

”And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.“ John 14:13-14 NKJV

Ask whatever. Ask anything.

One day, (day 5 of chemo, day 15 of being in the hospital) my Abba said,

“Write down the miracles you need.”

I just sat there and thought… Write down what I need?

Then I heard it again-

“Write down the miracles you need. Watch me work.”

Whoa. I stopped and wrote down what I heard Him say. So clearly heard, but I thought before I wrote down my requests. I stared at what He said for a bit. This was so big to me. I was to present what I needed as requests, give it to Him, believe He could do it, and watch by faith. It’s like when children write their birthday or Christmas lists and give it to their parents. In that moment, I got to do the same thing. So I did. I thought for a while about what I needed and wrote it all down. Not just healing for His son (though that was the greatest and most prevalent), but miracles I needed in all areas- I wrote them down.

Then I talked to Him about it, starting with His son. “Abba, here are my requests.” This was the same day I read Luke 6 during my morning time with Him, but I went back and read chapters 4-6 again where there are continued miracles, signs, and wonders being performed. I made note of each healing that stuck out to me:

Luke 4:34-35

Luke 4:38-39

Luke 5:12-13

Luke 5:24-25

Luke 6:8-10

Just as Jesus did it then… my faith and expectation (hope) was that He’d do it again. And by His name, I can do it, IF I believe! That same day, He began to fulfill my requests. Healing had already started and it continued, but it seemed to accelerate. His love showed up everywhere. Provision immediately began pouring out. I was in awe. Everyday has been a miracle, and as I sit now writing this blog and looking at the list, I’m thanking for what He’s done, praising for what He’s doing, and expectantly waiting by faith for what He’s going to do!

Today, I’m still watching Him work!

I pray increased faith and miracles over you. We can’t stay where/ as we are. Increase. Let there be an outpouring of faith all over you in Jesus name. If you are in need of a miracle, seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). Listen for His voice and respond with faith (John 10:27). Read His Word and stand on it with hopeful expectation that He will do it because He said He would (Luke 1:45)! His promises are Yes AND Amen (2 Corinthians 1:20)!!

Lesson in the Journey:

Write my requests. He is a God of miracles, signs, and wonders, so by faith I believe. There shall be a performance for those who believe!!

Promises for the Journey:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

John 14:12-14 NKJV

When Healing Comes Different

Reflections on the journey: At the beginning in the hospital, we continually had faith. We believed that Kayden did not have Leukemia. We also believed that he would not need treatment.
